The demand for soft skills training of learning and communication is forecast to grow significantly throughout the globe over the next 5 years. In the light of the technology tsunami of the last 20 years, there is a new story to tell about how we communicate, and we will tell it.
L7 - seven steps to the liberation of expression, is a fresh approach to training for the new digital world. Employing a proven successful format of association with expert comedy communicators and a vivid background pedagogy, it will promote collaborative learning to enhance employee soft skill understanding and effectiveness, with film and interactive sessions.
Developed by Tom Blackmore, whose career in training began at The Industrial Society, before moving to Video Arts with John Cleese, and going on to develop an award-winning catalogue of films as MD of Playback with Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones, before founding his own pioneering online company Top Training.
This project will be rolled out over the next 2 years, targeting the dual anniversaries of the opening of IMT Nuremberg (75th), and the signing of the European Convention on Human Rights in Rome (70th) which coincide in November 2020.
It highlights the progression of human rights from Nuremberg to Strasbourg, through the journey of prosecutor and HR champion David Maxwell Fyfe. It revolves around a song cycle, Dreams of Peace & Freedom which weaves his words, and those of poets who inspired him set to music by Sue Casson. Members of Maxwell Fyfe's family tell his story through narrative and song.
Lily Casson sings her own selection of songs from the last 7 decades of musical theatre, whilst her alter-ego The English Singing Baker is inspired by the songs to bake tasty memorabilia. Developed from appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe, where she would sing and bake onstage, Lily is active on Intagram, regularly blogging her recipes, and is recording a set of songs with a view to generating a new series of vlogs whilst actively looking for partners to collaborate with her very individual musical brand.
In this unusual cabaret, singer-songwriter Casson reveals the story of her own surprising involvement with the epic search for the tomb of Queen Nefertiti, the most beautiful woman of the ancient world. Finding herself unexpectedly rubbing shoulders with a team of archaeologists digging in the Valley of the Kings, she captures their quest and their obsessions in a set of witty and inventive songs. Premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe, this show is now available for intimate soirees.
